Correct Answer: 300 students.

Explanation:

Failed only in Math = (100 — 88) = 12%

Failed only in English = (100 — 87) = 13%

Failed in \both subjects = (12 + 13) = 25%

So, Passed in \both subjects = (100 – 25) = 75%

When passed 75 students, then attended students are = 100

When passed 225 students, then attended students are = $\frac{100}{225}$ = 300
