1. Proper Noun
A noun that specifically indicates a person, place, or thing. Most of the time proper noun is capitalized in a sentence. Generally ‘the’ is not used before a proper noun(Exceptions: The Padma, The Atlantic, The Taj Mahal, The Statue of Liberty)
2. Common Noun
Common Noun does not refer to an individual person, place, or thing; rather it describes the generic names of a person, a class of persons, place or thing.
(e.g. Table, Chair,Soldier(not Army), Mother, Lion, Dog, Cat)
Plural Common Noun:
Singular Common Noun = Desk, Headphone, Pen, Glass, etc.
Plural Common Noun = Desks, Headphones, Pens, Glasses, etc.
If a common noun(The+adjective) indicates a class of people, it will also be called Plural Common Noun.
Example:
The wise do not talk much.
(❌ Wises do not talk much or The wise does not talk much)
The poor live from hand to mouth.
(❌ Poors live from hand to mouth or The poor lives from hand to mouth )
Exceptions: The deceased; the accused.
3. Collective Noun
Collective Noun refers to a group of individual people or objects. So, a collection or a group of common nouns can be addressed as collective nouns. (Example: audience, crowd, group, family, herd, clergy, jury, parliament)
Soldier(Common Noun)—– A group of soldiers= Army(Collective Noun)
Cow (Common Noun)——–A group of cows = Cattle (Collective Noun)

Common Noun ও Collective Noun এর পার্থক্য:

■ Collective Noun-এর সাথে s/es যুক্ত হয়ে
কখনোই Plural হয় না। তবে Collective Noun
Noun of multitude: Collective noun এর সদস্যদের মধ্যে বিভাজন সৃষ্টি হলে তাদেরকে এককভাবে না বুঝিয়ে প্রত্যেককে আলাদাভাবে বুঝায় এবং এই বিভাজিত সমষ্টিকে Noun of multitude বলে।
Collective noun হচ্ছে অবিভক্ত সমষ্টি এবং এর verb ও pronoun দুটোই singular হয়ে থাকে।
e.g. The jury is unanimous in its decision. (বিচারকমণ্ডলী সিদ্ধান্তের ব্যাপারে একমত।) কিন্তু Noun of multitude এর verb এবং pronoun দুটোই plural হয়ে থাকে।
eg. The jury were divided in their opinions, (বিচারকমণ্ডলী ভিন্ন ভিন্ন মত দিয়েছেন।)
4. Material Noun
Material noun is a word that is used to describe a material that can be used to produce other products.Such as,Diamond, Iron, Cold. Water, Oil, Rice,Salt, Brick, Mutton, Beef, etc.
***Another word of Material Noun is Mass noun
Common Noun ও Material noun-এর মধ্যে পার্থক্য:

5. Abstract Noun
যে সকল noun দ্বারা দোষ, গুণ, অবস্থা ও কাজের নাম বোঝায়, তাদেরকে Abstract noun.
Popular suffixes at the end of Abstract Noun: ce,cy, th,ty,ness, ment, hood, tion, sion, ship,dom, ry etc.
