Problem: A man’s salary in 2015 was Tk. 20.000 I per annum and it increased by 10% each year. Find how much he earned in the years 2015 to 2017 inclusive.

Correct Answer: Total earnings 66.200 Tk.

Explanation:

Here, the man’s salary in 2015 was = 20,000 Tk.

At 10% increase, the man’s salary in 2016 = 20,000 + 20,000 x 10% = 20,000 + 2,000 = 22.000 Tk.

Similarly, the man’s salary in 2017 was = 22,000 + 22,000 x 10% = 22,000 + 2,200 = 24,200 Tk.

So. he earned in the years 2015 to 2017 inclusive = 20,000 + 22,000 + 24,200 = 66.200 Tk.
