Problem: A trader purchased some pens of Tk. 25 per piece and some pencils for Tk. 10 per piece respectively. If he purchased a total of 11 pens and pencils for Tk. 200, how many pens did he purchase?

Correct Answer: 6 pens

Explanation:

Let, He purchased x number of pens

He purchased = 11 —x number of pencils

According to the questionX x25+(11—x)x 10=200

=> 25x +110—10x= 200

=> 15x = 90

So, x = 6
