Problem: In the figure, rectangle PQRS is inscribed in the circle and PQ = 6. If the area of the rectangular region is 48, what is the area of the circular region?

Correct Answer: ans: 25

Explanation:

Here, area of PQRS = 48 and

Breadth, PQ = 6

Length, PS =$\frac{48}{6}$= 8.

Diagnal of the rectangular is = $\sqrt{6^{2}+8^{2}}$ = $\sqrt{100}$ = 10.

Radius =$\frac{10}{2}$=5

& the area of the circle = 5$^{2}$ x π = 25π
