Problem: in a book shop, which stocks 4 types of books there are $\frac{1}{3}$ as many Management books as Mathematics books, and $\frac{1}{2}$ as many Accounting books as Management books. If there are equal numbers of Physics books and Accounting books, what percent of the Books in the shop are Mathematics books?

Correct Answer: 60 %

Explanation:

Let, Number of Mathematics Books = x

So, Management = X x $\frac{1}{3}$ =$\frac{x}{3}$

Again, Accounting = $\frac{x}{3}$ x $\frac{1}{2}$ =$\frac{x}{6}$

Physics = $\frac{x}{6}$

Total number of books = (x +$\frac{x}{3}$+$\frac{x}{6}$+ $\frac{x}{6}$)= $\frac{10x}{6}$ =$\frac{5x}{3}$

Among $\frac{5x}{3}$ books Mathematics = x

Among 100 books Mathematics =$\frac{x \cdot 3 \cdot 100}{5x}$= 60

So, Mathematics Books are 60%
