Problem: A School  has 40 rooms that can sit 600 peaple . Some rooms can sit 10 people and some can sit 20 people. What Is the ratio of the number of 10 person rooms to the number of 20 person rooms?

Correct Answer: 1:1

Explanation:

The number of seat mom = xso, The number of 20 sent room = 40 – x

According to question10x + 20(40 – x) = 600

=> 10x + 800 – 2x = 600

=> -10x =600- 800 = – 200

so, x = $\frac{-200}{-10}$ = 20

Number of 10 seat room = 20 and number of 20 sent room = 40 – 20 =20.

The ratio of the number of 1O seat room to the number of 20 seat room = 20 : 20 = 1:1
